Gagandeep Singh has been serving as a Tennis Coach at Akal Academy Baru Sahib since 2011. With 12 years of coaching experience and 8 years in umpiring, he has been instrumental in training students, helping them achieve excellence in state and national-level competitions.

His personal training has empowered students to excel in various state-level tournaments, securing numerous trophies and national awards. Through his dedication and expertise, he ensures that students unlock their full potential in the sport. Prestigious Umpiring Career
Having officiated as a line umpire in six international events, Gagandeep Singh was recently selected for his seventh major tournament, the prestigious Davis Cup, following his participation in the Fed Cup in April. Notably, he is the only Sikh umpire in the team.
Representing India on the Global Stage
The Davis Cup, recognized as the premier international team event in men’s tennis, is organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). In 2015, 125 nations participated in this elite competition. Gagandeep Singh was chosen as a line umpire during India’s Davis Cup match against New Zealand and, once again, for the 2015 Davis Cup match against the Czech Republic, held in Delhi from September 18–20.
