A Day of Divine Celebrations
Akal Academy Uddat Saidewala celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Purab with a grand feast and a series of spiritual and cultural events, bringing together students, parents, and the local community in a joyous congregation.
Morning Rituals – Akhand Path and Ardas
The day began with the ‘Bhog’ of Sri Akhand Path at 10:30 AM, followed by a heartfelt Ardas, setting a divine tone for the celebrations.
Shabad Kirtan and Speech Competitions
Students from four inter-houses—Amul, Atul, Ajay, and Abhay—participated in a soulful Shabad Kirtan competition. This was followed by electrifying Punjabi and English speech competitions, where students shared inspiring messages about Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings.
Cultural Performances – Poetry, Skits, and More
The event featured captivating performances, including Punjabi skits, choreography on drug de-addiction, and kindergarten religious poems. A special highlight was the play “Jaisi Sangant Vaisi Rangaat,” which emphasized the importance of education and a drug-free life.
Special Guests and Inspirational Speeches
Sukhdev Singh Ji, Jathedar, graced the occasion with a speech on spiritualism and the role of Akal Academies. He praised Baba Iqbal Singh Ji’s contributions and the Kalgidhar Trust’s efforts in promoting education and spirituality.
Prizes and Recognition
Winners of various competitions were awarded prizes and certificates throughout the event, recognizing their talent and dedication.
Headmistress’s Address – Education and Spirituality
Headmistress Gurjeet Kaur elaborated on the academy’s unique blend of spiritual and scientific education, highlighting the facilities and teaching methods that set Akal Academy apart.
Grand Langar – A Feast for the Soul
The celebrations concluded with a grand Langar, prepared for over 800 attendees, including parents, staff, and local community members, who savored the blessed meal in the spirit of unity and devotion.
