Simrandeep Singh, a proud alumnus of Akal Academy Kauriwara in Mansa district, has made remarkable strides in his academic journey by securing the 34th rank in the prestigious UPSC 2020 exams. A Mechanical Engineer by profession, Simrandeep’s dedication to his studies and his passion for Punjabi Literature played a key role in his success, as he chose it as his optional subject for the Civil Services exam.
Additional Achievements and Academic Background
Simrandeep, 28, also succeeded in the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) exams this year. He completed his MBA last year and is now focusing on a career in the civil services.
Supportive Family Encouragement
His supportive family has been instrumental in his achievements. His father, Ajaib Singh, an Ayurvedic medicine practitioner, and his mother, Paramjit Kaur, a Government school Arts teacher, encouraged him to pursue his UPSC goals. Simrandeep’s wife, Manpreet Kaur, an MBA graduate, is also a significant support in his journey. The couple got married in March.
