Gurpreet Kaur – The Fitness Icon Who Chooses Shabad Kirtan Over Heavy Metal

Unlike most gym-goers who rely on high-energy metal or electronic beats, Gurpreet Kaur, a 21-year-old UK Sikh, finds motivation in the soothing recitation of Shabad Kirtan. Known as Fitness Kaur on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, she proves that spiritual connection and physical fitness can go hand in hand.

Her Deep Punjabi Roots and Passion for Fitness

Born to an English mother and a Punjabi father, Gurpreet shares a deep connection with Punjab. She proudly wears a turban, embraces Sikh traditions, and dedicates herself to Calisthenics, yoga, and weight training. She even took on the Ninja Warrior course, one of the toughest obstacle courses on television.

The Turning Point – Why She Chose a Fitness-Focused Life

Gurpreet’s journey into fitness began at 17, but it wasn’t due to a failed self-defense move or a desire to become a professional trainer. Instead, it stemmed from her childhood experiences.

“I used to eat big packets of chocolate at school,” she recalls. “Being born premature, people often told me that I wouldn’t be able to do certain things. But I had an urge to prove them wrong. Just before starting university, I decided to cut down on junk food and focus on building strength.”

Fitness and Faith – A Unique Combination

By combining physical strength with spiritual discipline, Gurpreet Kaur is redefining fitness. Through her journey, she inspires many, proving that one can stay fit while staying connected to their roots.
