The Divine Legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Raja Dalla – A Timeless Tale of Faith and Sacrifice

A Hidden Treasure of Spiritual Wisdom

Timeless treasures are often hidden in the hearts of saints, waiting for the right moment to be revealed. The story of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Raja Dalla, preserved for over 307 years, is one such treasure that has now been shared with the world through the grace of Baba Iqbal Singh Ji.

The Battle of Muktsar and Guru Ji’s Return

After the Battle of Muktsar, Guru Gobind Singh Ji rested at Saboo Ki Talwandi, a place now known as Damdama Sahib. It was here that the legendary encounter with Raja Dalla, the ruler of the region, unfolded, marking the beginning of a profound spiritual journey.

Raja Dalla’s Boast and Guru Ji’s Challenge

Raja Dalla, proud of his 7-foot-tall warriors, boasted to Guru Ji about their strength. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, with a smile, challenged Dalla to test the power of a newly crafted rifle. This challenge would reveal the true essence of faith and sacrifice.

The Test of Faith – Sikhs vs. Dalla’s Men

When Guru Ji asked Dalla’s men to stand before the rifle, fear gripped them. In contrast, two Sikhs eagerly volunteered, demonstrating unwavering faith and readiness to sacrifice their lives for their Guru. This act left Dalla in awe and transformed his understanding of devotion.

The Power of Amrit – Dalla’s Transformation

Witnessing the courage of Guru Ji’s Sikhs, Dalla sought the secret behind their fearlessness. Guru Ji revealed it was the power of Amrit (holy nectar). Inspired, Dalla and his family embraced Amrit, marking their spiritual rebirth.

The Compilation of Guru Granth Sahib

Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s mission to compile the Guru Granth Sahib faced resistance from Dhirmal, who refused to part with the original scripture. Undeterred, Guru Ji entered a 9-month Samadhi and recited the entire Granth Sahib, which Bhai Mani Singh transcribed. This sacred text became the eternal Guru for Sikhs.

The Prophecies of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Guru Ji made four prophecies at Damdama Sahib: the emergence of canals, fruit gardens, wheat crops, and a learning center (Guru Ki Kashi). While the first three have come true, the fourth prophecy remains a call to action for future generations.

The Legacy of Guru Ki Kashi

Guru Ki Kashi, envisioned as a center of divine knowledge, is a project that requires collective effort. Baba Iqbal Singh Ji appeals to all to contribute generously, ensuring this sacred vision becomes a reality for the benefit of humanity.

A Call to Embrace the Divine Vision

The Sakhi of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Raja Dalla is a testament to the power of faith, sacrifice, and divine prophecy. By supporting the creation of Guru Ki Kashi, we honor this legacy and pave the way for spiritual enlightenment for generations to come.
